The runners registered for the race understand that they participate voluntarily and under their own responsibility in the event, and therefore, exonerate the Organization of the race from all responsibility, and agree not to denounce the organizing entity, collaborators, sponsors and other participants; as well as not to initiate any claim of civil responsibility towards the mentioned parties.

Each participant must follow the entire marked route, without skipping any signs and passing through all the checkpoints.

It is strictly forbidden to receive external assistance or refreshments during the event outside the points designated by the Organisers: these will coincide with the race’s official refreshment stations. Similarly, it is forbidden to be accompanied by anyone other than participants registered for the event.

Each refreshment station will have a set closing time, and it is essential to pass through before the specified closing time in order to continue in the race.

Each refreshment station will provide food and drink, the selection of which will vary depending on the kilometre at which it is located. To make use of the refreshment stations, you must be wearing your race number.

Art.9 START

The race will be contested by category, with two separate starts.

A starting grid will be drawn up comprising the most outstanding participants, as determined by the organisers.

For the RELAY event, the second member of the team must wait for their teammate in the designated area located near the RELAY refreshment station. It is forbidden to pass the baton whilst the bicycles are in motion.

Article 10: AUTHORISED VEHICLES

The items must be placed in the bag provided by the organizers and clearly labeled with your bib number.

Participants may hand in their cloakroom bag before entering the starting area.

Article 12: MEDICAL CARE AND EMERGENCIES

Throughout the event, there will be several medical and safety teams coordinating with the 112 emergency service via the HUEX MTB central control centre

These teams will be stationed at the various refreshment points, and runners may ask for their help or assistance should they need it.

At certain points, random or general medical checks may be carried out. Refusing to undergo a check or showing disrespect towards the doctor or assistant requesting it will result in the immediate invalidation of your race number.

All runners will be subject to the doctor’s assessment whenever the doctor so requests, and the medical team’s assessment shall take precedence over any other; therefore, doctors may:

  • Eliminate from the race (by cancelling the race bib) any runner who is deemed unfit to continue.
  • Order the evacuation of any runner they consider to be in danger.
  • Order the hospitalization of any runner when deemed necessary.

Art.13 ABANDONOS

Abandonments must be made at the Control Points. If due to an accident or injury the runner is immobilized and cannot reach a control point, he/she will activate the rescue operation by contacting the organization by telephone through the Emergency Mobile Phone.

Once at the refreshment post, the runner will communicate his desire to abandon the race to the person in charge of the refreshment post so that he can cancel his bib and identify him as having withdrawn.

It should be noted that only at the refreshment posts, indicated as points with RETURN CONTROL, there will be means of transport to evacuate runners who abandon the race.

Should a runner who has withdrawn choose to return under their own steam, they must still inform the person in charge of the refreshment station of their withdrawal so that they can cancel their race number and mark them as having withdrawn; otherwise, the Organising Committee will assume they are missing and will trigger the rescue alert.

Article 14: CHANGES TO THE ROUTE OR SUSPENSION OF THE EVENT

In the event of adverse weather conditions or force majeure, the Organisers reserve the right to suspend, cancel or alter the time slots and/or the route of the race and/or the race itself, without this giving rise to any refund of the amount paid.
