These regulations may be corrected, modified, or improved at any time by the Organization, as well as any data, rules, or sections for optimal performance of the race. Registration demonstrates the participant’s compliance with these rules.
These regulations will be strictly enforced for all participants of the event called HUEX MTB. Any incident not included in this regulation will be resolved by the HUEX MTB Jury, the Sport Director of the event, a Member of the Organization and a Runner’s Representative.
The HUEX MTB race is organized by TerraIncognita Global SL.
The HUEX MTB is a mountain biking competition that will run through the province of Huelva.
The HUEX MTB has two modalities: EXTREME and MARATHON.
The HUEX EXTREMA will take place on Saturday March 15, 2025 in Aracena, with a distance of 168 kms. The START of the race is at 7:45h from the fairgrounds of Aracena. The META is located in Huelva capital and will be open until 20:30.
The HUEX MARATHON is a less physically demanding race that will take place on Saturday March 15, 2024 in Huelva with a distance of 88kms. The START of the race is at 10:00h from the town of Berrocal. The finish line is located in Huelva capital and will be open until 20:30.
The HUEX MTB is held with absolute respect for the environment.
Participants must respect the environment in which the event takes place and keep the surroundings clean. To this end, they must eat and drink WITHOUT LEAVING ANY CONTAINERS OUTSIDE THE CONTAINERS provided for this purpose.
FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THIS POINT SHALL REQUIRE THE IMMEDIATE DISQUALIFICATION OF THE RUNNER, who may be disqualified by a simple statement from any member of the organising team of the Race.
Participants will be disqualified from the competition if they show violent behaviour or litter in nature. It is compulsory to respect crops, livestock and private property in general.
Participants are responsible for any damage caused as a result of this type of behaviour.
It is strictly forbidden to receive external assistance or refreshments during the race outside the points provided by the Organisation: these will coincide with the official refreshment points of the race.
Participation in the HUEX EXTREME implies being of legal age on the day of the event and not being over 75 years old. In the case of the HUEX MARATHON modality, it is open to those over 15 years of age, completed in the year of the race, who are federated and have parental or guardian authorization.
Participation will be open to all those who correctly formalise both the REGISTRATION and the payment stipulated for the races.
In order to participate in HUEX MTB you must have an annual UCI license issued by a national cycling federation, in case of not being the RFEC you must present an identification document and authorization of the relevant federation indicating that you are covered by the insurance of your country.
In case of not having a license, all participants must process a day license provided by the Andalusian Cycling Federation with an additional cost of 10 € at the time of registration. Participants who have a cyclotourist license and want to qualify for classifications and prizes, must also pay the one-day license.
Participants who wish to participate in the Cyclotourist modality must be in possession of a Cyclotourist License. If you do not have such a license, you will have to pay a one-day license with a cost of 10 € at the time of registration.

The registration to the HUEX MTB implies the acceptance of the rules and the adequate preparation of the participant for the race, being aware of the geographical and meteorological conditions that can be found in the environment where the event takes place. In this sense, the participant exempts the Organization of possible health problems that may arise from their participation in the HUEX MTB.
The runners registered for the race understand that they participate voluntarily and under their own responsibility in the event, and therefore, exonerate the Organisation of the race from all responsibility, and agree not to denounce the organising entity, collaborators, sponsors and other participants; nor to initiate any civil liability claim against the aforementioned parties.
Once the registration has been formalised, the refund will only be 50% of the amount paid up to 30 days before the event, after this date no refund will be processed without cancellation insurance.
With cancellation insurance, only requests sent up to 15 days before the date of the event will be accepted.
All refunds shall be made within 30 days from the date of acceptance of the application.
Once the application for withdrawal has been made, the place becomes available to the Organisation, which will give it to the candidate at the top of the waiting list at that time.
The race bib and runner’s bag can only be picked up at the established place and at the scheduled times. For those runners who cannot pick up their bibs on Friday, a tent will be set up in the start area to pick up the bibs on Saturday from 6:30 to 7:30 in the start area of the HUEX EXTREME and from 8:30 to 9:30 in the start area of the HUEX MARATHON.
The participant will be obliged to wear the bib number during the whole race, always on the front of the bike, in a completely visible way.
Each bib is personal and non-transferable. The race bib must be picked up by the holder or by a third party as long as he/she presents express authorization of the holder and a photocopy of the ID card and/or passport.
Each participant will be assigned a bib number that will be randomly determined in all cases, except for the first numbers that will be determined by the Organization.

The race route will be marked with lime, marker tape and specific signage created for the race. The race route will be published on the official website of the race. Any change or modification will be made public by the same means.
Each participant must follow the entire marked route, without skipping the signs and passing through all the checkpoints.
It is strictly forbidden to receive external assistance or refreshments during the race outside the points provided by the Organization: these will coincide with the official refreshment points of the race. Likewise, it is forbidden to be accompanied by other people who are not registered participants in the race.
At each refreshment point there will be a specific closing time, being an indispensable requirement to pass before the established closing time in order to continue in the race.
Each refreshment post will have food and beverages that will vary depending on the kilometer where it is located. Food and beverages must be consumed at the refreshment post in sufficient quantity to guarantee the necessary energy reserves to be able to reach the next one, except for water, which can also be charged in the tanks and reservoirs carried by the runner.
The race bib must be worn in order to use the refreshment area.
The race will be run by categories with two different starts.
For the start, different boxes will be established according to the number of participants and the modality of participation.
A starting grid will be formed with the most outstanding participants at the organisers’ discretion.
For the RELAY modality, the second component of the team will have to wait for his teammate in the place reserved for this purpose located near the RELAY refreshment point. It is forbidden to give the baton with the bikes in motion.
The only vehicles allowed to follow the race will be those accredited by the Organization. It is strictly forbidden to follow the runners in any type of motor vehicle or on wheels (skates, bicycles, etc …), being expressly ordered by the Local Police to remove them from the circuit. A broom vehicle will be available at the tail end of the race to pick up runners who for any reason do not wish or are unable to continue the race. Runners who are unable to keep to the scheduled closing time for the control of the activity will have to get into the vehicle or abandon the race, following instructions from any member of the organisers.
All the runners of the HUEX Extrema and Marathon will be able to hand in their checkroom bag, which will be given to them by the organization when they pick up their race bib, with the material they want to pick up at the finish line.
The material must be in the bag delivered by the organization duly identified with the dorsal number.
Participants can access the start box with the bag and shelter clothing. The organization will collect all bags in the exit boxes 10 minutes before departure to avoid participants getting cold.
Only the bags given by the organization when picking up the race bib will be accepted in the checkroom.
Throughout the race there will be several medical and security teams that will be coordinated with 112 by the central management of the HUEX MTB.
These teams will be distributed among the different refreshment posts and the runner will be able to request their help or assistance if needed.
Random or general medical controls may be carried out at some points. Refusal to make a control or disrespect to the doctor or assistant who asks for it will result in the immediate invalidation of the race bib.
All runners will submit to the doctor’s judgment whenever requested by the doctor, being the assessment of the medical team the one that prevails over any other, so the doctors may:
Abandonments must be made at the Control Points. If due to an accident or injury the runner is immobilized and cannot reach a control point, he/she will activate the rescue operation by contacting the organization by telephone through the Emergency Mobile Phone.
Once at the refreshment post, the runner will communicate his desire to abandon the race to the person in charge of the refreshment post so that he can cancel his race bib and identify him as having withdrawn.
It should be noted that only at the refreshment posts, indicated as points with RETURN CONTROL, there will be means of transport to evacuate runners who abandon the race.
In the event that the retired runner chooses to return by his own means, he must also inform the person in charge of the refreshment post of his abandonment so that he can cancel his bib and identify him as retired, otherwise the Organization will consider him as lost and will activate the rescue alarm.
In case of bad weather conditions or force majeure, the Organization reserves the right to suspend, neutralize or modify the time slots and/or the route of the race and/or the race, without any refund of the amount paid.
The Race Direction, as well as any member of the Organisation, will monitor the application of the Rules and are empowered to immediately apply the following penalties or disqualifications:

The HUEX MARATHON modality is NON COMPETITIVE, it is a promotional modality. This modality is not eligible for classification by category. There will be a list of participants in order of arrival.
The awards ceremony will take place at 18:00h with all categories completed.
Those that are not, will be awaited until they are complete.
No prizes will be awarded outside the established timetable.
The HUEX MTB will have cash prizes for the top 5 finishers (male and female) in the overall HUEX EXTREME MTB INDIVIDUAL category.

Trophies will be awarded to the first three classified in the general and each established classification, both male, female and mixed, as long as there are at least 3 participants of the same established category.
Non-presence at the trophy presentation ceremony will be understood as a waiver of the trophies or prizes won. Any delegation to another person for the collection of trophies and prizes must be known and authorised by the Organisation at least 3 hours before the presentation.
The organisation declines any responsibility for the deterioration, loss, theft or destruction of participants’ material during the event.
In the event of abandonment by the participant, the organisation accepts no responsibility for any possible damage that the bicycle may suffer during the transfer to the established cut-off point, the participant supervising the securing to the broom vehicle by the operators.

In the event of an accident, call the emergency telephone number on the front of the vehicle. It is not possible to go to a health centre or hospital without prior notification unless it is a case of extreme urgency.
Acceptance of these regulations implies that the participant authorises TerraIncognita Global SL to take photographs and film their participation in any of the modalities of the HUEX MTB, and gives their consent for the dissemination, commercial and advertising exploitation of all images taken during the HUEX MTB, TerraIncognita Global SL reserves the exclusive right to the image of the HUEX MTB, as well as the audiovisual, photographic and journalistic exploitation of the competition, without the right of the runner to receive any financial compensation. Any media or advertising project must first have the express written consent of the organisers. If this is not the case, any legal action deemed appropriate will be taken.
